Description: Redeeming Intimacy equips counselors to address sexual brokenness, marital intimacy issues, and identity confusion through a biblically faithful and clinically informed lens. This training integrates Scripture, neurobiology, attachment theory, and Christian sexual ethics to help clinicians guide clients toward God-honoring, emotionally connected, and spiritually rooted expressions of intimacy. Participants will gain practical tools for navigating sensitive sexual topics with compassion, clarity, and confidence—promoting healing, holiness, and healthy relational patterns in individuals and couples.

Objectives:

Objectives:

1. Understand a Biblical Framework for Sexuality

Participants will be able to articulate a full, Scripture-based vision of God’s design for sexuality, intimacy, covenant marriage, and embodiment and apply this framework with theological integrity in the counseling room.

2. Integrate Clinical & Pastoral Insights

Participants will learn to combine evidence-based psychological principles (attachment, trauma, sexual conditioning, and neurobiology) with pastoral care strategies to assess and treat sexual struggles in individuals and couples.

3. Equip Clients for Healing & Holy Intimacy

Participants will gain competency in using spiritually grounded interventions including shame reduction work, intimacy-building exercises, discipleship-oriented habits, and boundary setting to help clients pursue redeemed intimacy and long-term relational change.
